Recap September & October 2019

So, I’m welcoming everyone who’s reading this, first of all, I want to thank all of you guys, for being with us and reading this rather boring stuff! That said, I hope you have a great day!

Game Progress

Justin has been working on Movement, UI/UX, and Weapons/Animations, in a nutshell: He’s the one working the fancy stuff while I am being the one doing the… the cool backend dev stuff you know… Help me…

I have been working on the Splashscreen last few weeks with Justin, I’ve added an Updater, Auto-login, and User Settings downloader, which enables Cloud Settings (server-side saving w/o a third party). I also added some Friendstuff to our API and refined some of its core. I’ve also been working on the Discord GameSDK, now it works so we are ready to use it. Next on our SDK list is the SteamSDK but… that’s another Section here.

I also want to announce that we are trying to get a Prototype ready to play for the End of Nov. Donator, Booster and Testers are going to be able to play it. We don’t know what the Content will be, it could be a Tutorial or a small Shoot-out.

Also, I can only recommend you our Trello board: I’m trying to keep it up-to-date but nonetheless you should give it a visit once in a while

Steam, Discord, and SP Content

Yea might want to say something about this after the Birthday and the last non-existing recap. As I already said in the Recap where I talked about pricing. We’re now officially going to release on Steam (Discord will still be available but we will mostly use it for releasing Test/Preview Versions), that said I wanna go into detail what is going to be free and what is paid content. As for Singleplayer, Access will cost 10€(11,16$) and we might add Story branches as DLCs. Multiplayer will be free to play and we will add a Shop with microtransactions (cosmetics-only with safe locks such as buy limits etc).

End of chapter 0

Yea, well I hope you liked the short Recap, I apologize that I didn’t make one last month but we had way too much stuff todo. So here is an interesting fact

Fact: Some fungi create zombies, then control their minds

The tropical fungus Ophiocordyceps infects ants’ central nervous systems. By the time the fungi been in the insect bodies for nine days, they have complete control over the host’s movements. They force the ants to climb trees, then convulse and fall into the cool, moist soil below, where fungi thrive. Once there, the fungus waits until exactly solar noon to force the ant to bite a leaf and kill it. The more you know amirite?

Alex. (Sorry for the repost!)
